The idea for an oracle deck emerges, seemingly out of nowhere, as a vague dream that, once welcomed, takes on more and more substance. Energy and ideas spring forth, until my heart, intellect and third eye form a pact to create 44 subjects for the stories that accompany the cards.
Just as a distraction, an inspiring rest from writing if you will, I begin to research art early on, discovering new artists and collecting hundreds of images on the way. Duly inspired, I start to lay out the sequence of the 44 card subjects and the project really takes off, taking on a life all of its own. I become its caretaker, the one who makes the connections, who places the dots and commas, and who ensures the sacredness of the project, that its purpose is honored, a purpose I did not know when I began.
And then Magic happens, with a capital M, and it is inspirational and beautiful and profound. My guardians are right by my side to prevent me from straying from the love that pours through me now from outer space, from the ancient wisdom of the Earth, and from the healing that is just below the surface of all the world’s drama. And I so hope to do them justice by translating their wisdom and their love into the right words, so that the messages will seize your imagination and enchant you until your heart is full.
Yet all of our efforts would come to naught if it weren’t for you. As it is you, beloved reader, who will give this new oracle deck life. By interacting with it, by studying it, by sharing your insights with others, you are the one who ultimately honors the purpose of this deck, who cherishes the artwork, who reciprocates the universal love that permeates the words in the stories. Through you the messages endure.
